ImageEditor Privacy Policy
This page explains how ImageEditor handles information when you use features such as image compression, batch compression, format conversion, collage creation, watermark editing, and EXIF viewing or cleanup. We respect your privacy and aim to process data only to the minimum extent necessary.
1. Information We Process
Based on the current features of this project, the app may process the following types of information:
- Images you actively choose to import, such as photos, screenshots, or other image files.
- Basic image information and metadata contained in those files, such as size, format, EXIF, GPS, and TIFF information.
- Editing parameters you set in the app, such as compression quality, export format, collage template, corner radius, spacing, and watermark settings.
- Output files generated when you choose to export, save to Photos, or share through the system share sheet.
2. How the Information Is Used
We process this information only to provide the features you choose to use, including but not limited to:
- Performing single-image compression, batch compression, and image format conversion.
- Generating collage results, including layout templates, image order adjustments, and visible crop positioning.
- Applying text or image watermarks and exporting the edited result.
- Viewing, keeping, or removing image metadata.
- Saving processed results to your device photo library or sharing them through the system share sheet.
3. Local Processing
Based on the current implementation of this project, the main image processing workflows are performed locally on your device, including compression, format conversion, collage rendering, watermark rendering, and metadata cleanup. You are not required to create an account to use these core features, and your images are not uploaded to our servers in order to provide them.
If a future version adds cloud features, account systems, online sync, or third-party services, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly before those features are released and, where required, request your consent again.
4. Permissions
The app may request the following system permissions when necessary:
- Photo Library access: to let you choose images from your photo library for compression, collage creation, watermarking, or metadata handling.
- Photo Library write access: to save processed images back to your device photo library.
We request permissions only when they are needed for a feature you choose to use. You may refuse permission, but some related features may not function properly, such as importing or saving images.
5. EXIF and Location Information
Some images may contain EXIF metadata, GPS data, timestamps, device model information, or similar embedded metadata. The app provides tools to view and remove such information, and whether to keep or remove it is up to you.
- When you view metadata, that information is used only for local display inside the app.
- When you choose to remove metadata, the exported file will be generated according to your selected cleanup action.
- If you do not want an image to include location or capture information, you should use the metadata cleanup feature before sharing or saving it.
6. Third-Party Sharing and Services
Based on the current project structure, the app's core image processing features do not require third-party ad SDKs, third-party login SDKs, or third-party cloud storage SDKs to function.
- We do not sell your image content to third parties.
- We do not proactively share your image content with third parties for advertising purposes.
- When you actively use the system share feature, the destination app or service you choose may process your data according to its own terms and policies.
7. Storage and Deletion
- Processed image results are generally stored locally on your device or saved to your photo library when you choose to do so.
- In-app editing state and default parameters are mainly used to support your local experience.
- If you want to delete processed results, you can do so directly from your device photo library, exported file location, or other local storage location.
The current version of this project does not include a user account system, so there is no cloud-based account access, account download, or account deletion flow at this time.
8. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is necessary to provide the product features. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided inappropriate information through the app, please contact us using the email below.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, permission scope, or data handling practices change. Any updated version may be displayed through the app, a website page, or another reasonable method.
If an update involves new sensitive data processing or a use beyond the original reasonable scope, we will provide further notice and, where required, obtain your consent.
